Big Week for Royals Volleyball

The Royals Volleyball team had another tough, but successful week. The team played four matches, and two against teams ranked in the top 20 National Rankings. The Royals won their first match of the week against a tough Mayville State University JV team. The following day, they hosted North Dakota State College of Science, a team that had yet lost a match, and was ranked #12 nationally. The Royals took that match in an excited 3-2 win in front of a large and excited crowd at the Devils Lake Sportscenter. To end the week, the Royals traveled to Brainerd, Minnesota for a triangular. They took the first match against Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College easily in 3, but couldn't handle Central Lakes College, the #4 ranked team in NJCAA Division 3.

After this week, the Royals are sitting at a 13-9 record, and are currently 3^rd overall in the Mon-Dak with a 3-3 conference record. They have two big conference matches this week as Dawson Community College on Tuesday, September 27^th  and Miles Community College on Wednesday, September 28^th; both matches will be at the Devils Lake Sportscenter. The team travels back to Minnesota to play Vermilion Community College and Dakota County Technical College in Inver Grove Heights on Saturday, October 1^st.
