The Royals traveled to New Town, ND for three conference games as a part of the Preseason MonDak Tournament. The Royals went 1-2 on the weekend with a win over Dakota College at Bottineau.

The two losses came against Dawson Community College and United Tribes. In both games the Royals fell behind 19 points early before fighting their way back into the games. The Royals would come back to make it a 2 point game against United Tribes, while fighting back to take a 1 point lead against Dawson Community College. The Royals would end up losing by 7 to both teams.
The Royals used a strong 3rd and 4th quarter against DCB to lead them to victory. The Royals currently sit 1-2 on the season with an upcoming home game against Minnesota North College-Rainy River, on Sunday the 12th of November.
