Royals Women's Baksebtall Start the Season 3-1
The Royals women’s basketball team has come out strong to start the season. After the first week of play, the Royals have won 3 of their first 4 games and have shown a lot of improvement early in the season.
The Royals women’s basketball team has come out strong to start the season. After the first week of play, the Royals have won 3 of their first 4 games and have shown a lot of improvement early in the season.
The season started with a trip to Jamestown, as the Royals took on Jamestown JV for the season opener. There, the Royals led by Tiziana Huici with 24 points would beat the Jimmies 62-50.
Following the Jamestown matchup, the team traveled to Newtown, ND for the Buster Gillis MonDak Pre-Conference Tournament. The first match featured a tough tight contest with the Royals beating the Williston State Tetons 54-48, big performances from Tiziana Huici, Ray’ven Robinson and Kyla Fitzgerald led the way. The Royals would fall to Dawson Community College in game two of the tournament 79-62. The Royals would win their 3rd / 4th place matchup against Bismarck State College. Simone Clay led the way in the contest with 20 points, while Tiziana Huici finished the game with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Next up for the Royals will be a two game homestand against Miles City Community College on Saturday, November12th at 1pm before they host Dakota College of Bottineau on November 16th at 6:30pm.
