The Royals traveled to Colorado and Nebraska for matchups against Colorado Northeastern and Western Nebraska.
The Royals started the new year out strong with a 69-61 win over Colorado Northeastern on January 6th. Ray’ven Robinson and Kyla Fitzgerald led the way with 16 points each. Sophomore Tiziana Huici was solid all night, finishing with 12 points and 9 rebounds.
The Royals backed up their performance with a tight 74-72 win over Western Nebraska on January 7th. Ray’ven Robinson had a career-high 28 points on 50% shooting from the field. Simone Clay and Kyla Fitzgerald both provided 11 and 10 points respectfully.
Head Coach Ryan Clark had this to say, “I am so proud of the effort our team showed all weekend. Coming off a two-week break, our ladies did an outstanding job on both the offensive and defensive end. Excited to get back into conference play this upcoming week”.
The Royals move to 13-3 on the season and head to Bismarck State College on Thursday for a tough matchup with the Mystics.
