Hanna Gary was a Female Athlete of the Year Finalist for NDAPSSA, NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week, NJCAA Player of the Week, 3x MonDak Conference Player of the Week, All-MonDak Conference, All-Region XIII and Region XIII MVP. She appeared in 36 games, batting .504 with 9 HR's and 55 RBI's. She also went 15-1 as a pitcher with a 3.87 ERA.
Emma Gary was All-MonDak Conference, MonDak Conference MVP and All-Region XIII. She appeared in 36 games, batting .580 with 9 HR's, 59 RBI's, 62 runs and 14 SB's.
Head Softball Coach for the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds Katie Welborn had this to say about the signing of Emma and Hanna Gary. "As prolific as Emma was for her Junior college team, it was a no brainer to sign her, Welborn said. "She has a great base of softball knowledge and wields a big bat. She adds depth to both our outfield and lineup. Emma will be a fun player to watch. " She continued "Hanna is a chameleon. I know that wherever I put her, she will not only succeeded, but exceed all expectations," Welborn said. "She will be utilized everywhere from the outfield, to the lineup, even the pitching circle. She is the utility player that can make all the difference."
Eastern New Mexico State is coming off a 20-36 season and they compete in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference.
