During Week 3 of the Clay Target Shooting season, some familiar faces paced the Royals.
For the women, Jayden Barclay (39) & Caitlen Nielsen (39) led the way. On the men's side Zach Ohma (47), Jacob Schempp (45) and Seth Suda (46) were the high marksmen.
It was a tough week for the team as a whole though as they posted their lowest score of the season. After scoring their season high of 128.50 in week 1, 120.50 in week 2, the Royals shot a 107.50 this past week. This allowed Hibbing CC to overtake them in the Blue Division standings and slide into 3rd place with 2 weeks to go before the MCAC championships. Bismarck State & Itasca CC still hold the top two spots respectively.
Head Coach Tom Stoe said, "It certainly wasn't our best week, the conditions were a little windy but we have to do our best every week no matter what. Hopefully, we use this as motivation with two weeks to go. As a team we continue to improve and I am looking forward to these last few weeks together!"
