Men's Basketball Adds Assistant To Staff

Head Coach Jared Marshall is excited to welcome Winder Joseph from West Pam Beach, FL to the coaching staff.
Winder, comes to Lake Region State College after a playing career that included two years at Coalinga College in the CCCAA and then three years at Mayville State University. He averaged 11.3ppg 5.4rpg 4.1apg and 2.5 apg at Coalinga. In his time at Mayville he averaged 7.4ppg 3.1rpg and 2.6apg. After Mayville, Winder played a year professionally overseas in Spain for Club Sor.
Winder will join former Royal standout Channing Reed on the bench. Reed will enter his third year working with Head Coach Jared Marshall.
Head Coach Jared Marshall had this to say, "I am very lucky to have these two join me on the bench this season. They bring alot of experience from the Junior College and four year level. Their ability to relate to our players through shared experiences is something that will be an asset for us." He continued, "Having Coach Reed join me for a third season and the stability that provides is invaluable. I have so much trust in him and his ability to help in all aspects of our program. Coach Joseph has great on the court development skills that I am looking forward to utilizing."
Marshall is heading into his tenth season as the head coach of the Royals. The Royals first game will be against the defending Mondak & Region XIII Champions North Dakota State College of Science. That game will be November 1st, at the Buster Gillis MonDak Pre-Conference Tournament at Four Bears Casino and Resort in New Town, ND.
