Women’s Hockey: Go 2-0 on the weekend, set new league record.
The Royals played some great team hockey, allowing them to pick up two wins. In the first game, the Royals would win 13-0 before taking the second game 9-1.
The Lake Region State College Women’s Hockey program traveled to Missouri for a pair of road games against Maryville University. The Royals played some great team hockey, allowing them to pick up two wins. In the first game, the Royals would win 13-0 before taking the second game 9-1.
Abby Stewart-Fromm was in net both nights and had a great showing. She forced a shut out the first night and only allowed the 1 goal the second night. Between the two games all 9 of our skaters got points on the board and at least 1 goal. The leader for points on night one was Raelle Redford with 6points, while Morgan Sette led them the second night with 5points.
The program also set a new league record on the second night for most shots on goal with 108.
“Super proud of the effort our team played with. They always work hard, so it was fun to see them all get plenty of reward this past weekend.” Said Interim Head Coach Brady Stein.
