Men's Hockey to Play MSUM in Outdoor Game
The Royals have been off since December 14th and are itching to hit the ice for the Spring semester. The team was scheduled to hit the ice on January 5th and 6th against Winona State. Winona State canceled the series, leaving the Royals without games for two weekends. "This was unfortunate that our boys did not have games scheduled after the cancelation, so I got to work right away to find a filler team. I reached out to multiple teams about playing the weekend of the 12th and 13th and was fortunate enough to find MSUM was also looking for games." Kraft shared.
"We will get a unique experience playing in an outdoor game. I was a part of the inaugural Hockey Day in North Dakota when I was a student-athlete at UMary and it is an experience that I still talk about to this day. Our guys will love it, our school is excited for it, and I am hoping we get some fans to make the drive to experience what it is like to watch and attend a game being played outdoors.
The Royals will be on the road at The Lights in West Fargo on January 12th, with puck drop being at 6:00 pm. The Royals will then be home on January 13th hosting MSUM, with puck drop being at 7:30 pm.
