LRSC Men's Hockey Signs Bismarck Trio
It has been a busy recruiting season for the Men’s Hockey program. We would like to welcome TJ Olson, Carter Heck, and Tyler Kleinjan from Bismarck, North Dakota!
TJ Olson will be joining the forward core as a solid two-way forward with great hockey sense and IQ. TJ is natural leader and will have an immediate impact on the ice for the Royals this coming fall. TJ was the captain for the Century Patriots this past season and received the “Joel Ulness Award” or also known as the leadership and dedication award. We were thrilled when TJ decided to attend LR. TJ comes from a great program in the state of North Dakota and will help us in the defensive zone just as much as the offensive zone.
Carter Heck will also be joining the team this fall. Carter is a strong defenseman with a lot to offer the defensive core. Carter will bring smooth skating, great position awareness, and passion for the game. Carter will play a key role on the blue line for the Royals. Carter will add more depth to our roster and will allow us to take some risks in the offensive zone. Carter plays a full 200-foot game which will allow us to be aggressive in all areas of the ice.
Tyler Kleinjen will man the blueline for the Royals as well this upcoming season. Tyler is a smart defenseman who will bring size, speed, and aggressiveness. Tyler is a strong skater and has a great hockey IQ. Tyler is excited to be a part of the inaugural team and is ready to jump on the ice right away. Tyler’s style of play and feel will allow him to have a big role for the Royals this coming season. He will be relied on to make sure we are clearing pucks out from in front of our net as well as set things up from the point for us in the offensive zone.
Welcome to the Lake Region gentlemen!
