Lake Region State College Men's Hockey Team Signs Four North Dakota Players
Logan Hendrickson, a 2002-born Goaltender from Bismarck, ND has signed on to backstop the royals in their inaugural season. The 6’1” 190-pound goaltender played two seasons for Bismarck High before heading off to California to play for the Ontario Jr. Reign of the USPHL Premier. In Logan’s senior season at Bismarck High, he was chosen to represent Team North Dakota at the Minnesota High School Performance Tournament in Minneapolis, MN. Logan brings good size, movement, a high compete level and excellent puck tracking to the Royals crease. Welcome to the Lake, Logan!
Brody Steinmetz will also join the Royals for their first season. Brody joins as a playmaking Forward, fresh off a state championship with the Langdon Jr. Blades. The smooth-skating forward will help provide excellent vision and puck management to the Royals offensive corps. Brody, in addition to winning a state championship in hockey has two state football titles, is an honor roll student and will be representing North Dakota at the America’s Showcase in St. Louis, MO this April. Brody’s stickhandling, skating and vision will surely make a difference for the Royals offensive output this winter. Welcome aboard, Brody!
Another Langdon state champion will be joining the Royals this winter in forward, Alex Gellner. Alex played a huge role in securing the state title for Langdon in 2023, netting 4 goals in the championship game. Alex brings a tenacious forecheck, great hockey IQ and a big shot to the offensive mix of Lake Region. Alex was a two-time state champion in football and served as a captain in both football and hockey for Langdon. Alex will also be representing North Dakota at the America’s Showcase in St. Louis this April. Alex will provide plenty of offense with his quick release, puck pursuit and ability to compete in the dirty areas of the ice. Welcome Alex!
Kaleb Hodny, a 2003-born Forward from Lankin, ND has also signed on to join the Royals in their first season. The 5’10” 170-pound forward played for Grafton-Park River High School before heading off to Gillette, WY to play parts of two seasons with the Gillette Wild of the NA3HL. Kaleb is a fluid skater who has a knack for making plays on the rush and adding to a heavy forecheck. Kaleb will add good offensive firepower to the first-year Royals. Welcome to the family!
