Mataya Hall Joins Lake Region State College Women's Hockey Team
Lake Region State College is excited to announce that Mataya Hall, a senior defenseman from Butterfield, Minnesota, has signed with the Lady Royals Women's Hockey Team. Mataya brings her strong defensive skills to Lake Region after a successful high school career with Windom High School in the Minnesota State High School Hockey League, where she recorded 4 goals and 5 assists during her senior season.
Coach Sawyer Diseth on Mataya's Defensive Abilities
Head Coach Sawyer Diseth is excited to add Mataya to the team: "Mataya is a very smart defensive player. Her ability to read the game and make quick, effective decisions is exactly what we need. She will fit in seamlessly with our defensive unit and will be a great addition to a group that prides itself on playing strong, disciplined defense."
Outside the Rink
When she's not on the ice, Mataya enjoys the outdoors. She's an avid hunter and loves golfing with her sister. Additionally, she has competed in clay target shooting, showcasing her precision and focus. Mataya also enjoys spending her downtime with her three dogs.
Looking Ahead
Mataya is excited to continue her hockey career at Lake Region State College and is ready to contribute to the team's success next season. We look forward to watching her grow both as an athlete and as part of the Lady Royals family.
