Men's & Women's Basketball Will Host Region XIII Playoffs Quarterfinals
The Lake Region State College men's and women's basketball teams will both host the opening quarterfinal rounds of the Region XIII playoffs this Sunday, March 2nd.
The Lake Region State College men's and women's basketball teams will both host the opening quarterfinal rounds of the Region XIII playoffs this Sunday, March 2nd.
The LRSC women finished the season with a 14-16 record (7-7 Conference). They finished 5th in the MonDak Conference standings and 4th in the Region XIII standings. The Royals are led by Nicole Lillard 12.7ppg 6.2rpg 2.5apg and Sydney Schwabe 12.5ppg 4.6rpg 2.2apg. They will take on the Miles City Pioneers 4-26 overall (2-12 Conference). Lake Region is 2-0 versus MCC this season, an 83-59 win on January 6th and a 76-58 win on February 2nd.
The LRSC men finished the season with a 15-15 record (7-7 Conference). They finished tied for 3rd in the MonDak Conference standings and 3rd in the Region XIII standings. The Royals are led by Bronson Chambers 14.9ppg 5.2rpg 2.6apg and Ginuwine Tropnas 13.3ppg 8.5rpg. Alvin Payne 17.3ppg in Conference and Poet Davis 16.6ppg in Conference have stepped up their scorer to help lead the Royals. LRSC has won 3 of their last 4 heading into the playoffs and will take on the Bismarck State College Mystics who are 10-19 overall (4-10 Conference). Lake Region is 2-0 versus BSC this season, an 85-78 win on January 27th and a 111-68 win on February 23rd.
