Ireland Schmidt next to join Royals Softball

The Lake Region State College Royals softball team is excited to announce that Ireland Schmidt a pitcher from Campbell Collegiate High School in Regina Saskatchewan has signed on for the 2025-26 season. She started playing softball at the age of 11 to play along side her cousins. She realized early on that she wanted to be a pitcher and has worked hard at it to this day to keep improving. She's played on 3 national teams and travelling teams and had the dream to play college softball. She is bilingual in French and has been in the French program at school since kindergarten. On her days off she enjoys seeing friends, working, and going to the gym. She is so excited to become a Royal! Welcome to the Royals Family Ireland!
