ELLENDALE — Former Northern State University basketball coach Don Meyer once said:
"Four things that all great teams have 1) shared ownership, 2) shared suffering, 3) individual responsibility and 4) collective pride."
Serving as the match quote of the night, the Lake Region State College volleyball team used a collective effort to defeat Trinity Bible College 25-10, 25-22 and 25-18 in a non-conference match Monday night.
Jexley Porrata had 12 kills and Annie Jorgenson had 10 kills to lead the Royals who improved to 6-6 for the season.
Precious Rawlins had 15 assists and two aces, Jakenda Short had 14 assists, Maara Nelson had two aces and Ashley Quam had two blocks for LRSC which has won three of their last four matches.
The Royals will continue Mon-Dak play Wednesday when they take on Dakota College at Bottineau from the Sports Center at 7 p.m.
