Winning on the road is a difficult thing. On Monday evening, the Lake Region State College women's basketball team traveled for its conference opener against a fast-paced, talented Bismarck State College squad.
The Mystics used more efficient shooting and 23 points from the line to walk away with an 88-70 victory over Lake Region State College.
The Royals were led by forwards Cassidy Nelson and Emily Schafer with 14 points a piece. Mackenzie Irwin had a nice night adding 14 points and 14 rebounds for Lake Region State College. Helen Schuster finished with 10 points off the bench. Jillian Hanson netted nine points. Jadyn Fee finished with seven points. Mikayla Wallace finished with two points. Ella Gobald rounded out the scoring with a point.
The Royals are gearing up for its second game in conference play.
