LRSC remains unbeaten in conference

The Lake Region State College women's basketball team remained unbeaten in the Mon-Dak Conference with a 77-65 win Monday at Dakota College at Bottineau.
The Royals sit at 5-0 in conference play and 18-5 overall.
Kennedy Henningsgard hit 7-of-12 shots to lead LRSC with 20 points.
She was joined in double-digit points by fellow sophomores Megan Cantellano (14), Shaina Stevenson (13) and Kristal Flowers (11).
Flowers was also a force on the glass, grabbing 17 rebounds.
The Royals held a 38-32 lead at halftime. They did most of their damage in the third quarter, outscoring the Lumberjacks 23-11. DCB was able to win the fourth quarter by a 22-16 margin, but the Royals had enough cushion for another double-digit victory.
LRSC made over half of its shots, going 31-of-61. Defensively, the Royals held DCB to 41 percent shooting and just 10 percent shooting from 3-point range. LRSC also held a 44-27 rebounding edge.
