On Wednesday night, the Lake Region State College Royals basketball team took on Minnesota Prep at the sportscenter.
In what Head Coach Marshall called a, "Disappointing effort" the Royals looked rusty. They came out and struggled to make shots, scoring just 25 points in the first half while giving up 40. An early run in the second half cut the Minnesota Prep lead to six but it was short lived as they would push it back to sixteen. A final late run would fall just short and the Royals would lose 80-76.
LRSC would shoot 40% from the field, 19% from three and only 64% from the line. Lamarr Wood led the Royals with 24 points & 8 rebounds. Jordan Lynn had 16 points 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Head Coach Jared Marshall said after the game, "I was disappointed in our overall effort tonight. We came out and let our offensive struggles impact our attitude and defensive intensity. I have to do a better job getting us prepared, we will be better next game."
The Royals are now 11-5 on the season.
