The Royals comeback fell short in a 107-99 loss.
The LRSC men's struggles continued down the stretch in the Mon-Dak, losing its sixth straight game. The Royals are now 18-11 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
LRSC trailed by as much as 23 points at one point in the second half, but battled back.
"Our bench came in and gave us a spark," LRSC head coach Jared Marshall said. "Jon Lund, Jayson Edwards and Noah Bosh all gave us great energy tonight. Props to them for staying ready and coming in with energy. Without it we wouldn't have had a chance."
AJ Nywesh led the Royals with 20 points, which put him in the 1,000-point club for LRSC.
Ryan Clark had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Tom Kubank scored 18 and grabbed 12 rebounds. Ben Rennie, Edwards and Bosh also scored in double figures.
"Right now we are two different teams," Marshall said. "A team that plays with urgency and a team that doesn't at times."
Both LRSC teams have their final regular season game at home against Dakota College at Bottineau on Wednesday for Sophomore Night.
The women start at 6:30 p.m. with the men to follow.
