Three Royals Baseball Players Sign with 4 Year Schools
Head Baseball Coach Kyal Williams is happy to announce that 3 Royals baseball players have signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at 4 year schools.
Ryne Dolleslager has signed to Jamestown University to continue his academic and baseball career in the fall. Jamestown University is a high academic school as well as in athletics. Jamestown Baseball has been a very strong program for many years now under Head Coach Hager, and for Ryne it is a privilege to get this spot and he deserves the chance. Head Coach Kyal Williams said, "He was one of our leaders on and off the field this year for the Royals. He played almost every game behind the plate, working him into the ground but always with a smile. He was a pleasure to coach and always listened to advice and working hard every day. I believe he will do great things at Jamestown in the classroom and on the baseball field." Jamestown University is a NAIA school that competes in the North Star Conference.
Dakota Hoyt has signed on with University of Minnesota, Crookston. Crookston under their new Head Coach Gust have turned a new leaf and are a power threat in one of the best Division II conferences in America. Hoyt will be a great asset for Crookston with his bat and defense, every team needs a good strong bat and with Hoyt they will get it. Head Coach Kyal Williams said, "He was our power hitter this year for the Royals and a main run producer. He was a great asset for our program, and will be missed a guy that you can play every day and know what you are going to get. I know he will get a chance to prove himself at Crookston and I know he will do Lake Region proud." The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II school that competes in the Northern Sun Conference.
Bryce Karl is one of our starting pitchers and being left handed makes him an attribute that many teams desire. He signed to play for Valley City State University, he will be a very good asset for them as he will be one of two left handed pitchers in their program for 2017. Head Coach Kyal Williams said, "Bryce had a little up and down season, but when he was up he was unhittable." Bryce threw a 7 innings 4 hit shutout against Bismarck State College. Coach Williams continued, "It was amazing to watch him at his best feeling confident, and in such control. I know if he can find that confidence in himself he will have a great career at Valley City. I know he will work hard, and do Lake Region State College proud." Valley City State University is a NAIA school that competes in the North Star Conference.
