Game 1 vs. Bismarck State College:
The first game was witness to a great pitching matchup from both sides letting only 3 runs the entire game. Edgar Millan was dominate on the mound throwing a high percentage of strikes and helping his defense work quickly. A big double from Patrick Becker gotthe Royals on the board to start. From there the defense and pitching held up against the Mystics to secure a 1 run lead heading into the bottom of the 7th where Brandon Walsh came in pounding the zone and finish with 3 up and 3 down to win it for the Royals. The final was 2-1.
Game 2 vs. Bismarck State College:
This one started the game out well with good pitching and defense. Unfortunately, the Royals just could not put a dent into the score board early and timely hitting from BSC took them out to a 5-1 lead. Before lightening and hail cancelled the game in the bottom of the 6th with the final score being 5-1.
The Royals will be back in action this weekend versus Williston State College.
