Royals Earn Split with WSC
LRSC Men's Hockey team hosted Williston State College over the November 3rd and 4th weekend. The Royals played well taking one of two games over the weekend.
The Royals started fast and finished game one strong. The Royals scored lone goals in the 1st and 2nd periods giving them a 2 goal lead heading into the 3rd. An early goal by the Royals was enough to cap off a 3-2 win earning them their first home win in program history.
Night two was a different story. The Royals dominated up and down the ice and out shot the Tetons 48-28. The Tetons were able to score on the rush and found a way to beat the Royals 4-2.
"We out played WSC up and down the ice sheet but just were not able to out score them. I feel we played well and deserved to win the game but just came up short. It happens to some of the best programs in the country and it happened to us. I am happy with our progression and happy to see things are starting to mesh and click with our young squad. Things are looking up for us" Kraft shared.
Goal scorers were Brady Wicklund finding his 2nd and 3rd goals of the season. Kaleb Hodny finding his 3 and 4th goals of the season and Captain Matt Besse neeting his 4th of the year.
Your Men's Team is back in action on November 17th and 18th when they host the University of Jamestown at 8:00 pm both nights!
