LRSC Royals Volleyball Inks Talented Group for 2024-25
LRSC Volleyball Coach, Steve Waddell, is very excited to announce the signing of some very talented players for the upcoming season. “I am very pleased with how the 2024-25 recruiting class is working out. We have some very athletic and skilled volleyball players who also excel in the classroom. All of these incoming players will help to build on the traditions that we have established over the past couple of years.”

Waddell on Lexie Shearer: “I am so excited that Lexie has decided to become a Royal. She is an extremely hard worker, and she does so many things well. She hits a heavy ball, and she moves exceptionally well across the net. She will help to add size to our front row, but I think that she has the ability to be a 6 rotation player!”
Shearer on why she chose LRSC: “To begin my post secondary education, I chose LRSC because I have heard nothing but good things about it. I know of a few people who graduated from LRSC, who all speak highly of their experience there. In 2022, I toured the campus and practiced with the volleyball team, and I really enjoyed my time there. I appreciated the coaching style and the team seemed very close and to get along well with each other, which is something I think is very important. I felt very welcomed and at home. Growing up in a small town my whole life, the idea of college is a bit intimidating. I have found, though, the LRSC campus is similar to a small town. It is a smaller campus, with lots of friendly people, which is something I value highly. The teachers, students, and overall environment seem very welcoming, and I look forward to my time there in the fall!”
