Averi Ziegler Signs with Lady Royals for 2019-2020 Season

Head Coach Danny Mertens is pleased to announce the signing of Averi Ziegler from Devils Lake, ND to the 2019-2020 recruiting class.

Averi helped lead her team to an EDC Championship and a second place finish at the North Dakota Class A State Championship. She averaged 4.9ppg 3.3rpg while shooting 47% from the field and 74% from the FT line. 

Head Devils Lake Coach and North Dakota Coach of the Year Justin Klein had this to say about Ziegler, "Averi is a strong physical kid who gives a strong post presence in the paint, she has a great work ethic and always plays hard"

Head Coach Danny Mertens said about Averi, "Averi is a worker, plain and simple. She is a hard working individual that is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team. She fills an immediate need for us in the post, where we were looking to add depth to that position. It is always a good thing when you can keep a local product at home to play for you. I am excited for what Averi is going to be for the team and that the people here in Devils Lake can continue to follow her career for two more years!"
