Big Third Quarter Propels Lady Royals to Victory
Sunday afternoon, the LRSC Lady Royals basketball team took on the Concordia JV Cobbers.

The Lady Royals took a fifteen point halftime lead and blew it wide open in the third quarter. LRSC would post thirty third quarter points while holding the Cobbers to eight propelling them to victory. The final score Lake Region State 85 Concordia 42. Aiding the big third quarter was the fact that they turned over Concordia 36 times and held them to 33% shooting for the game. The Lady Royals would be led by Dani Schwanke off the bench pouring in 21 points 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Jadyn Pollert had 10 points to go along with her 7 rebounds.
Head Coach Danny Mertens said, "This was a solid effort from top to bottom by all these ladies. Every player played more than 15 minutes and scored in todays game. We are a very deep team. All 11 of our players can play and contribute in their own way. Heading into conference this is going to be a big advantage for us."
With the win LRSC is now 12-5 on the season. They will open up MonDak Conference play Thursday night on the road against the Dakota College at Bottineau Jacks.
