Bio

Coach Sevier will enter his first season as assistant coach for both the men's and women's basketball teams.

A native of Wichita, KS, Connor Sevier joins the Royals for his first season as an Assistant Coach. Sevier comes from Wichita State University, where he was a Graduate Assistant for the Men’s Basketball team for the past two seasons and earned his Masters Degree in Sports Management. In his time at Wichita State, Sevier worked closely with AAC 6th man of the year Ricky Council, AAC Defensive Player of the Year Dexter Dennis, and Craig Porter Jr. of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Before Lake Region, Sevier was a two time All-League player in high school and went on to play NAIA at McPherson College. A series of knee injuries ended his career early, which prompted his transfer to the University of Kansas to focus on school. He was then an intern and youth coach for MoKan Basketball in Kansas City.

He began his coaching career with River City Hoops and Perry Ellis Elite back home in Wichita, starting with youth and working his way up.

Sevier and his dog Pete, named after the great “Pistol Pete” Maravich, reside in Devils Lake.
