Bio

A native of Greeley, CO, Jared Marshall just finished his eighth season as Head Coach of the Lake Region State College Royals. This will be Marshall’s tenth year overall after spending one year on the bench as an assistant. The Royals have a 124-120 overall record. He has also coached 12 players that have been named All-MonDak Conference, 10 that have been named All-Region XIII and 1 All-American in Clarence Daniels. Along with the on court recognition there has also been 23 players honored with NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards and 47 players named MonDak Academic All-Conference. The Royals basketball team has also been named as an NJCAA All-Academic team four times. The team finished 5th nationally in 2017 & 2022, 19th in 2018, 8th in 2019 and 33rd in 2023 for team GPA in all of the NJCAA.

Before Lake Region, Marshall spent two seasons, 2012-2014, as the Graduate Assistant at the University of Mary, where he received his Master’s degree in Human Performance and Athletic Administration. Prior to that he served as head boys basketball coach at Frontier Academy High School in Greeley, CO. Marshall took over the program when he was 23 years old and directed the team to a conference championship and a state playoff appearance. He was also named Frontier Conference Coach of the Year in 2011.

He started his coaching career at Greeley Central High School as an assistant football (2007-11) and assistant basketball coach (2007-2010).

On top of his coaching duties, Marshall also serves as Athletic Director. He is happily married to his wife Meghan and they have a daughter McKynlee.
