Head Coach Jared Marshall is excited to announce the signing of Ben Hoverson as the newest member of the men's basketball team.
Hoverson, a 6'5 guard from Grand Forks, ND, played his high school ball at Grand Forks Central High School. Grand Forks Central Head Coach Dan Carlson said this about Ben, "Ben is a really good kid with excellent character. He loves it when he gets challenged and pushed. Ben is a very talented, coachable player that wants to get better."
During his senior season he averaged 11.5ppg, 5rpg and 2.5bpg. The highlight of the season came when he scored 38pts in a win over #1 ranked Fargo Davies and was given the MidCo SN Game Ball.
Head Coach Jared Marshall said this about Ben, "Ben is a player we pursued all year. I am excited he pulled the trigger and decided to come to Lake Region. Being from just up the road, it is always a good thing when you can add that local talent. I know we have a few alumni out there who are really going to like this signing! Ben is athletic and a three point shooting threat! He is a high IQ student athlete and is going to find a way to make an impact on our team."
