Head Basketball Coach Jared Marshall is excited to announce the signing of Jarell Jacobs to the men's basketball team.
Jacobs, a 6'1 guard out of Cass Lake, MN, played his high school career at Cass Lake-Bena High School.
During his decorated high school career he was a 5 year varsity player. He scored over 2100 points in his career, was named to the All-Conference team three times and was twice named the conferences MVP. Jarell also holds the school record for scoring at his high school with 57 points in a game. During his 5 year varsity career with the Panthers, they went 125-24.
Jacobs said of his commitment, "Coach Marshall has been talking to me for awhile now. It felt like the right pick. They've shown a lot of support even though I wasn't in their program yet. That made the difference for me."
Cass Lake Head Coach John Wind said, "Jarell is a coachable kid that can really shoow it. He's someone that works, in the weight room and on the court. I think he is going to do great at LRSC and really help that program."
Head Coach Jared Marshall said about Jarell, "Jarell is a winner. That winning confindence isn't a thing you can teach. Players have it or they don't. You look for that in kids and Jarell definitely has it. His team won 100 more games than they lost during his 5 year varsity career. That is an amazing achievement. Jarell can really stretch the floor with his shooting and make plays offensively. The thing that always impressed me the most was his leadership and how he did the right things all the time in the game."
