Royals Roll Through TMCC
It was one of those days where either team could do no wrong.
It was one of those days where either team could do no wrong. The Lady Royals would take control late in the 1st quarter after a slow shooting start to take control of the game. A 37 point explosive second quarter would propel them to a 96-52 win over TMCC. The men would continue their winning streak and use a dominant 68-22 first half to win 124-68 over TMCC.
For the women, Jordyn Worley would put up 32 points (5-10 from 3) 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Dani Schwanke would come off the bench to give the Royals 16 points and Hailey Hewitt would record 7 points and 9 rebounds. Josh Kihle would tally 23 points on 11 of 12 shooting to go along with his 8 rebounds. Grantley Mildenhall and Zach Dahlen would post 15 points each and Lamarr would would record 14 points and 6 rebounds in under 10 minutes of play.
Both Women's Head Coach Danny Mertens and Men's Head Coach Jared Marshall would express that they were happy that their squads, "Took care of business," during the game. Both teams will be back in action this coming weekend. The men will play solo host to Northeast CC out of Norfolk, NE Friday night, November 16th 7pm at the sportscenter. Both teams will be in action Saturday November 14th, 5pm and 7pm and Sunday November 15th, 2pm and 4pm. All games will be at the sportscenter for the Holiday Inn Classic.
