The Lake Region State College Royals basketball team hosted Williston State College Tetons in a MonDak Conference game at the sportscenter Monday night. Coming into the game LRSC was 17-8 (5-2) and WSC was 8-15 (2-5).
From the start, the Royals would struggle to find rhythm and consistency all night. Whenever LRSC would get close or make a run, they were unable to sustain it. At the half, it was a 5-point game with Lake Region trailing Williston 37-32. In the second half, it was all Tetons as Lake Region could not find it on the offensive end. They would go on to shoot 30% from the field and 20% from the 3. The final score Williston State College 81, Lake Region State 61.
Head Coach Jared Marshall would say after the game, "I was disappointed in our effort tonight. We had worked hard lately and we regressed tonight. We just were out worked in every facet of the game. We need to get back at it and get ready for a tough road game in Dawson on Wednesday."
With the loss the Royals drop to 17-9 (5-3) on the season. They are back in action Thursday night, in Glendive, MT versus Dawson CC.
