Lake Region State College Men's Basketball player Harvey Barr was recently selected to the initial Great Britain Under-20 Men's Roster. Harvey is one of 21 players selected to tryout for the team. The players will then compete to be chosen to make the final roster to represent Great Britain at the European Championships which will begin July 14th in Oradea, Romania.
Harvey said, "I'm delighted to be included in the initial GB u20 squad for the second year running. The talent pool to select from is increasingly getting better and so it is a real honour to be a part of it. I hope to apply all the progress I've made with my basketball at Lake Region State College to the camp and give it my best attempt to make the final team for the European Championships. I feel I've made a substantial leap in my basketball ability compared to last year's camp so I can't wait to show what I've got."
Head Coach Jared Marshall said, "I am excited and very proud of Harvey. This is an amazing opportunity for him and I know he will make the most of it. Being one of 21 players selected to represent your country is an honor. It has been a lot of fun watching him grow and develop as a player over the past year."
