Lake Region State College baseball has its new head coach.
Steven Anderson of Eagle River, Wis., has been hired as the head baseball coach at Lake Region State College. He will start on campus later this month.

Steven Anderson of Eagle River, Wis., has been hired as the head baseball coach at Lake Region State College. He will start on campus later this month.
LRSC Athletic Director Jared Marshall said Anderson has the vision to help take our program to the next level.
"With Steve's background, I believe he will come in and provide a strong role model and leader for our student athletes," Marshall said.
Anderson comes to LRSC from a head coaching position in Minocqua, Wis. He earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and master's degree in sports leadership from University of Wisconsin - Madison. He also served as an operator instructor with the U.S. Army.
"The opportunity to lead the Royals baseball program is an honor. It is the kind of dream position for me that I could see myself being in for a very long time," Anderson said.
