Jonathan Lund Signs to Play for Minnesota Crookston Next Season
Sophomore INF/P Jonathan Lund from Tolna, ND has signed with Division 2 University of Minnesota Crookston to continue as a student athlete.
Sophomore INF/P Jonathan Lund from Tolna, ND has signed with University of Minnesota Crookston to continue as a student athlete. This past season Jon hit .412 drove in 28 RBI's, had 14 runs and 4 stolen bases.
Head Coach Kyal Williams said, "Jonathan Lund was a huge asset to the baseball program for the past two years. Someone that worked extremely hard to keep improving his own game but also helped the team in any way possible. He was someone that you can always count on for never giving up and always pushing his team to win. Jon will be a great asset to Minnesota of Crookston and believe he will have a great career at the next level. Jonathan is going to be missed and a big spot to fill for next year."
Jon said, "I am looking forward to continuing on at UMC next season as a student athlete. I have loved my time here at Lake Region State College it has been a great experience. I ame excited for this opportunity and believe the coaches at Crookston are going to help me become the best baseball player I can be. I look forward to making an impact on the team in whatever way I can."
Jon was a 3 sport athlete competing for the Royals golf team, men's basketball team and baseball team during his two years at LRSC.
The University of Minnesota Crookston is a Division 2 school that competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
