Anne Stroklund signs with Lake Region State College Volleyball for 2025-2026 season
The LRSC Royals Volleyball coaches and team are excited to announce the signing of 6' Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker Anne Stroklund from Kenmare, ND. Anne is a two-time North Dakota All-State selection with a high level of skill and a ton of experience in tough matches. She is a very highly-decorated volleyball player that will add size and a high-level of skill to the Royals Volleyball family. She has accumulated very impressive stats throughout her high school career and has also won many awards:
Career Stats
1,114 kills, 148 service aces, 93 solo blocks, 29 assist blocks, 201 set assists, and 402 digs. For her senior year along, she had 470 kills, had a .329 kill%, served 48 aces, dug 114 hits, and had 42 blocks. She did this while leading her team to the Consolation Championship at the North Dakota State Tournament.
Anne has also won numerous awards throughout her career:
4-Year Varsity Starter
Freshman Year: Most Improved (awarded by Coach)
Sophomore Year: All-Region Team
Junior Year: NW Conference Tournament All-Tournament Team, All-District, All-Region, 1st Team All-State, Hitting Award (awarded by Coach)
Senior Year: NW Conference All-Tournament Team, All-District, All-Region, 1st Team All-State, District 16 Senior Athlete and Region 8 Senior Athlete.
When asked why she chose LRSC, Anne had this to say: "I chose LRSC to continue my academic and athletic career because of the support and positivity I felt from everyone. I am excited for the opportunity Coach Waddell has given me and hope to make a positive impact on the team. I love the small school feel and supportive family-like environment of Lake Region Volleyball."
Coach Waddell is also very excited about Anne joining the squad: "Anne Stroklund is a HUGE recruit for us. She does everything well, and she has been well-coached throughout her career. She knows what it takes to compete, and she is also extremely coachable. She also has a positivity about her and a presence that will fit right in with the culture that we have built in our gym. I know that Anne will make an instant impact with our program, and I'm excited to see what she will be able to accomplish at our level."
Stroklund will join a strong recruiting class this fall that should make for another exciting season of Royals Volleyball!
